1/2 of Advent was present at NEARfest and I spoke with them. Alan Benjamin is guitarist for both Advent and Mirthrandir. He confirmed it to me as well. I haven't had a chance to speak with Simon yet; however, any conversation with him wouldn't be to confirm their ProgDay appearance.  |
Well said. Alan and I talked about some other things but not that - the announcement was a pleasant surprise. Hopefully we'll have another official announcement soon, the one that's on that band's website - that would make my day.
Another thing like this is Morglbl playing in Baltimore this week. Their band site shows something different than what the venue shows, and I had a great deal of skepticism about it...Morglbl in a bar in Baltimore? But it's true. I've missed the two shows this week, but 5PM on Saturday I will be at the place ready for action.
