My favorite variation of the word is "detritivore" which is defined as one who feeds on said rubbish/garbage. Crayfish/crawdads are an example, as they survive on aquatic waste (i.e., decayed animals and/or vegetation).
I'm sure you all couldn't live another minute without knowing that, right?
