Re: The Aural Moon "FLAG PROJECT"
Ilium and Album Leaf, The were my errors. Typos or over edits to be sure.
I was using UK. Didn't see a rule that said GB was the standard. Sources I use to do the research, including MySpace, DPRP, and even everyone's favorite ProgArchives (which has the least amount of country info), tend to use UK.
Here is a consistent (as in multiple sources) explanation of the difference between GB and UK:
"The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland encompasses, as its full name suggests, Northern Ireland in addition to Great Britain.
Great Britain is composed of three areas: England, Scotland, and Wales.
As for England, it is the largest and most populous portion of the United Kingdom."
Given such an explaination, UK is certainly not wrong. After all, the original members of UK were all English and they didn't call themselves GB (England was already taken so that wasn't an option.)
I did not find a country code for Northern Ireland so at the very least if a band is based in Northern Ireland it seems we should use UK for them. GB would be inaccurate.
And for the record, both of these entries are technically correct:
UPDATE samdb.songlist set lyrics="AU" where artist="Allen, Daevid";
UPDATE samdb.songlist set lyrics="US" where artist="Allen, David";
Both are in the library; the former was born in Australia and appears to have based himself in a number of countries so what is the tie breaker?; the later is from California.
