Chrome (good gawd, YAWSNCB -- Yet Another Web Standards Non-Compliant Browser) is providing the attachment option dropdown select menu but it is not rendering the "paperclip" graphic. It's, instead, using the 'alt' text and presenting you with "Attachments" to identify the function. Those here who see the paperclip will see 'Attachments' appear as a tooltip when the pointer is hovering over the paperclip.
A bit of confusion can be avoided if people refer to the function of these editing options instead of the identifying graphics. If you see some graphic, hover the pointer over it and the tooltip will identify its function. That's the better way to make reference to it.
I suspect that someday Chrome will get to CSS2 compliance and then, it too will display the paperclip. The rest of the world will probably be CSS7 compliant by then.
FWIW, Safari, Firefox and even Opera display the paperclip; Lynx, obvioulsy, does not.
