I would submit that before we start adding songs like "Starrider", some of the music such as old Styx is added. The first Foreigner album came out as I was a high school freshman, so you know it is a special record for me. However, Starrider's just a cool rock song really.

I'd say I have to agree. I LIKE Hendrix. I have since I first saw the film of him doing the Star Spangled Banner at the Monterey Pops (Jazz?) Festival in the early 70s or so. I mean it was the only time that I'd stood for the SSB from 1975 (end of the Vietnam War) until well into the 80s.

But I'm not sure that he belongs here. I definitely come here for progressive rock, and for all that Jimi is and was, he's not, in my humble opinion, progressive.

He IS missed, though. He could have gone a long way had he not ODed....
