Now it's generally considered bad form to quote your own stuff. However, I've never been known for my form, so here are my comments:

This one is turning into a total surprise. I'm not usually a fan of artists I have trouble pronouncing. On this one, I will make an exception. This is a must hear. Very, VERY tight accoustic guitar. Highly suggested.

  • Drama - Drama
Another surprise from the vault. I find that I"m starting to like this one. Nuances and dynamics that I was certainly NOT expecting. This is another one that I plan to investigate as time goes on.

  • McLaughlin, John - Adventures In Radioland
This one probably surprised me more than anything else. I was expecting more new-agy/neo-prog from Mr. McLaughlin, and have been pleasantly surprised at the balance involved. Very tight, free flowing, yet secure in itself. Must Investigate More.

  • Mostly Autumn - The Spirit of Autumn Past
Typical of Mostly Autumn. This is not a disparaging comment at all. They do what they do very well. Nice, relaxing music without being sleep inducing or overly impressed with themselves. And it shows in their music.

  • National Health - Missing Pieces
This one leaves me a bit confused. How about some feedback? Good? Bad? Too neo/classical/medal, ETC.

Actually, I'd LOVE to hear some feedback on all of these. I, for one, am impressed at the quality and dynamics that are being re-introduced into the 'rock music' genre as a direct result, IMO of the progressive rock scene.

And a couple of late additions:
  • Hackett, Steve - A Midsummer Night's Dream
  • Hackett, Steve - Voyage Of The Acolyte
I personally am looking forward to hearing a bunch of this new stuff. From what I've heard, it should be some outstanding work.

Well, enough rambling. I have to get up in far too few hours.
