Hello. I'm Ben from BrainRock. This is the BrainRock Mission Statement!
1. BrainRock is a radio show. The name has a double-meaning. BrianRock is music with a Brain that Rocks non-stop. BrainRock is also Music that we deliver directly to your Brain via headphones.
2. The
Music is, in descending frequency of play:
- Progressive Rock
- Progressive Rock's many sub-genres
- Rock that is not necessarily progressive, but is still "Artsy" and shares the same ideology
- The occasional straight Rock.
- Something Completely Different (SCD), an occasional feature highlighting something completely different
- Any other dang thang that I want to play (This is the handy catch-all category).
3. BrainRock airs on Tuesday evenings at 9pm EDT and Wednesday afternoons at 4pm EDT. Translate to your local time, and Rock your Brain.
4. In order to maximize your BrainRockage, you will need to acquire a good set of
Headphones. Why a headphone show?
- Much music is meticulously designed for stereo sound. Headphones maximize this.
- So, you think you know a piece of music by heart? Listen to it in headphones and you will almost always hear something you never noticed before.
- Even music recorded in mono sounds better in headphones, so pretty much anything goes.
