yes, this could be the cutting edge.

IMO- it's a win-win for all involved.
rather than " please visit----.com, d.l. my music for free",
the artist's promo will go to directing the fanbase to
the stations playing the tunes.

it's my view that the free download OMDs
will be seen as "the minor leagues", a place for
beginning artists to polish, receive feedback.
the indie stations (whether they realize it or not)
are standing in the middle ground between the beginner
and a future distribution deal, recording contract.

imagine what the result would be if the
"next big prog band" comes from aural moon....
