I've known Jim for ~10 years now. We have exchanged many emails and we chat most every day but I've only "spoken" to him once on a brief phone call.
It was a unique experience to finally physically meet (and talk to) him.
Unfortunately his trip started with a 5 hour flight delay followed by lost luggage and passport and a less than helpful airline and US Consulate Office.
And then the New York Rangers lost to the Winnipeg Jets
.
His lost things were thankfully found and returned. We got out for a bit of sightseeing before coming over for supper on Saturday.
Timber was supplied with ample treats and he mostly warmed up to him (except when Jim left the room on his own, then there was concern!).
My wife Sharon cooked us a delicious roast beef dinner and we had apple pie and ice cream for dessert followed by a too short visit because Jim had a 6am flight home.
Jim brought the flowers you see in the background.
