Well, I lived in San Jose, Ca in 1989.

And I flew to NYC to catch The Who doing Tommy at Radio City Music Hall.

I suppose it all depends on how devoted you are...

Roger -Dot- Lee, yes, I'm quite nuts. At least I was then...

Well, the Who doing Tommy at Radio City and a Tortoise concert are different magnitude events. I'm not slamming Tortoise, but c'mon...

Well, it's all Great Britain. I've never been, so I'm not sure about the distances. But anyway...,

You should go to this Jim. If you do, I'd bet there'll be some Tortoise on the Moon shortly after....

the only problem (well the first, there may be others) is that I've never even heard of "Canes Ballroom" - and I know San Diego pretty well...

That's the best one yet Keith!

Canes Ballroom is where the old folks see shows.

that Canes I know - there's no ballroom in there, let me tell you.

That place has changed hands at least 5 times in the last ten years - no idea why. It's usually packed, you'd think it'd be a goldmine. It's in the same neighborhood as me, you can see the boardwalk (concrete in San Diego), I've been on that literally thousands of times. I've been drunk on that roof deck dozens of times...

I just might check that one out...

You should, and you should get some Tortoise for AM (or I can donate... eventually).

wait until after that show to donate - if I like them, I always like buying CDs directly from the band.
