Djam Karet
Here's a band you should be requesting. Yesspaz, I think you'll like them - great riffs.
http://www.djamkaret.com/ These guys are one of the more exciting prog bands out there - lots of jamming, making them potentially more accessible than some prog bands, but still there's a lot of polyrhythms, interesting arrangements, and plain old skill that keeps it a level above straight rock. No vocals for those who have expressed a dislike. One of their albums, "Suspension and Displacement", is very ambient and spacey - good, but my least favorite. The rest of them ROCK! Enjoy... |

Excellent suggestion. After a few listens here on AM, I'm now anxiously awaiting a copy of their Suspension & Displacement CD in the mail. And speaking for rockin' I just got a dual Ozric Tentacles CD with "There is Nothing" and "Live Etheral Ceral". Man oh man this is some great sh#t !! I usually don't like live music, no matter who it is but sounds great. Maybe it's the lack of vocals that make it work live for me.

They're really nice guys too - met them at NEARfest and chatted for awhile.
"Reflections From The Firepool" is my favorite - but I like all of their discs. |
