Hannibal Lecter's guide to prog?

As is well known, the famous Dr Lecter sent fine wines to his friends, keyed by birth year. In the same vine (sic), what would be your suggestions for :-

a) vintage prog years, eg...1973 (Bordeaux grand cru classč) a great prog year!

b) prog bands as beverages,... who is wine? or guiness? or just a nice cup of tea?

Sounds a bit contrived i know, but it might be fun, and maybe give us an idea of the best accompianment to the stream.

1972 for me. The sheer number of great records. 73's good too..

Wine is smooth, but not for me..it's harsh. But wine...Camel, Hackett.
