Basic Question 2

The member of AM is an expert of PROG ROCK for me. And, I am a beginner of PROG ROCK
now.

Hearing people's opinions serves as a reference very much for me. And, I keep loving PROG ROCK
and studying.

They were formed in Britain in 1968.
Their work is very fantastic, is intellectual, and avant-garde. Therefore, a lot of work of them appeared in PROG ROCK. The name of this group is "HIPGNOSIS".

I think that the world that they draw is an art.
Is their work evaluated all over the world?

I will extend the enjoyment to PROG ROCK more further than now
momentarily at the time of reached people's opinions.

My favorite album design,,,,,Pink Floyd-Wish You Were Here

Re: Basic Question 2

Hi, Kaz san...
I suggest some of progrock fans say Hipgnosis and Roger Dean are two fo the most famous art directors of progrock.
Their works all are so fantastic that they are worthy of admiration.

But I' m sure we shouldn't forget Barry Godber.
He made "In the court of the Crimson King" cover art.
I was very impressed and bought the album without listening to the content...

Re: Basic Question 2

Hello DAMO san. Thank you for the comment.
I agree to your comment.

Of course, I also think that the work that ROGER DEAN did is very wonderful. My
favorite CD FRONT COVER is RELAYER of YES. And, FRONT COVER of KC also struck close
to home to me of course.

The reason for I is that the photograph collection in which the work of HIPGNOSIS was published was bought with ON-LINE recently why I gave one's views about "HIPGNOSIS" this time.

Wonderful of their work is actually felt while looking at them.

Re: Basic Question 2

I agree kaz san.
It's a wonderful surprising for me that I first see the Hypgnosis albumcover "Atom Heart Mother".
There's no title, no credit, and no artist name...but brilliant impression.
This art is the wallpaper of my cellphone.

Re: Basic Question 2

Hello. damo san。Yes. You are a Japanese representative of PROG ROCK. When the power supply of the cellular phone is turned on, the cow always turns around toward you.
Yes, it is wonderful.

It cannot so enjoy looking at FRONT COVER with the long plating record because CD is a main
current now in the age at the time of which it is today. 。

Power is different in LP and CD overwhelmingly. 。。

Re: Basic Question 2

Exactly...I've searched "In The Court Of The Crimson King" vinyl but could not.
Of course I have a CD version of this album now so only wanna display the "aggressive" vinyl.
