Comment:

First of all I have to admit that I am not a lover of King Crimson, but the evening was very, very King Crimsonish.., even more experimental (if I say experimental I mean just the style, as every note they played was played because it needed to be played in that moment, there was not experiments on that), some times for some 10/20 seconds even noise could have been a description. The music was a so called bad mood music, somehow even aggressive, all tunes played in the tone art minor. The rare singing of Tony and Michael was no singing, but shouting, speaking loud. It was really not an evening were I could relax and just let the nice music shower over me.

So far this the surface description.

To tell you the truth, I was seldom more fascinated by a gig as today. It was not easy to get into the music, but everything was so masterly performed, that I both Doris and I stood there sometimes with open mouth.. . It was the first time I saw performing on Sticks and I am really impressed of this instrument. Tony and Michel were just genius on that. Pat on drums, what can I tell you, he is certainly the best I saw in the last 20 years. When Pat plays the drum, it is not just a rhythm instrument, it is a melodic instrument. He not only underlines the music with rhythm, he plays the melody. Difficult to explain....

Conclusion:
We had a non relaxing evening attending a gig with music I do not need every day, but which was an enrichment. Like a good match of chess...Your mind gets tired but you feel good after it, even you do not win..

If this trio is gigging near too you, go and see them. You will love it at the end as we did it..
