Meetup In Amsterdam

Thank you to Rundvis and Mindy for a most splendid, albeit abbreviated, day in Amsterdam. M and I arrived at our hotel to find a welcome present of a 12 Year old bottle of Macallan. Later in the day, we met up face to face and had an enjoyable walk about Amsterdam, pleasant conversation and several pints of a peculiarly familiar black-in-color adult beverage. Durk (Rundvis) and I chatted A'moon and music; Mindy and M chimed in and had their own conversation.

We'd decided on Thai for dinner and, after walking about to several Thai restaurants, we settled into one which, after entering, I realized was one I'd eaten in on a previous visit to A'dam. A group photo taken in the restaurant is attached.

After dinner, we ventured to an Irish pub for several more pints of "G-juice." However, our long journey, jet-lag and lack of sleep too soon had us parting ways. I would have loved to spend a few more hours but just couldn't muster the energy to stay vertical.

Re: Meetup In Amsterdam

Thanks for your kind words Vax !
Loved the company of you two and we do look forward to a the next time.

You're doing a lot for us Moonies so the Macallan is well deserved...it's the
least i could do to show my appreciation.

Tell me...was the Thai-food painful enough...?

Lol

nice 1,pic... greetings from M to M and you

One of my favorite aspects of A'moon is meeting fellow moonies.

When I said I wanted it painfully hot, the waiter looked at me like I was joking. No, the "5-star" spicy was barely 1 IMHO. The little ground chilies in oil helped crank it up a bit. No problem though, it was still good eats despite the lack of suitable pain level.

You need to get over on this side of the Atlantic. One of the fests would be a great excuse.

Nadina took me to a wonderful Thai in SF. When I said "hot", the proprietor brought out a special tray of accoutrement spices. Exquisite pain. Next time I'm in SF, I'll have to get her to take me there again.
