![]() I watched a "Rockumentary" the other night that investigated the making of Dark Side. It had interviews with all the band members and AMAZINGLY they all seemed to be in agreement.
They analysed the musical structure of the songs, Rick Wright showing the chord sequences for "Great gig in the Sky" for example and the engineer, Alan Parsons, at the mixing desk explaining how it all hung together. Really fascinating stuff. It made me realise what a MASTERPIECE this album really is. Not withstanding the fact that it spent YEARS in the charts, it has to rate as one of the GREATEST albums of all time. ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Dark Side of the wha?
Should I play the Dark Side show again? heh
Hopefully this will show in the states sometime soon. I've seen reviews on the Echoes group, but we probably won't see it over here for a while. Oh well, VH1 will pick it up in a few months, just like the Behind The Wall special that came out around the release of 'Is There Anybody Out There?' Tommy |

We are all twenty-first century schizoid men. Or women. Or.... Schizoid, anyway. |
