NEARfest 2004

I've been looking at the increasing number of bands that are appearing next year and so far I'm impressed.

Would love to see the "Electric" Strawbs playing together again. It would be even better if John Hawken could be persuaded to play too.

All I've got to do now is persuade Pam that it would be a huge mistake NOT to go. She's a bit iffy at the moment and I know she would never let me travel alone (sensible lass) to places so far away.

Do any of you guys plan to be there? I know it's a long way off but the more ammo I have (that is I can say that I'm meeting some guys who'll keep me out of mischief.......NOT!) then I can keep working on it.

Barring life threatening illness or total loss of mental capacity, I'll be there. I've been to the last three NEARfest's, and all of them have been excellent.

yes

They will be back at the smaller venue this year, and there will be much more fun during the intermissions (the parking lot is adjacent to the second level, and it makes for a great atmosphere).

I've seen all of the shows, and have enjoyed the format for the most part. It will be more difficult to get tickets this year, so advance planning is needed.

The last few years, I've cut down by necessity on my mischief (ammo - fire 1), it will finally be a chance to meet you (fire 2), and she may like redheads (fire 3).

A long way away, but yes I should be there.

Good luck man!
