What about uploading from AM listeners?
Perhaps this has been covered already, and I don't know all the technical and legal ramifications, but couldn't AM accept MP3 files emailed or uploaded somehow?
Seems to me that stuff like Hatfield that's been mentioned of late or hard to find stuff could be donated by listeners that have it, and the playlist expanded with less out-of-pocket cost to our wonderful hosts. Am I missing something?

This is illegal, of course.
We would gladly accept the donation of actual CDs! (not CD-Rs, which , of course, would also be illegal). Davin |

Ok. I guess that's the obvious answer.
I suppose the fact that you guys can make digital copies and stream them over the internet made it not so obvious in my mind. I'm not questioning what you're doing by any means, I'm just curious how this works. Is it simply that you guys have to own the original recordings? (even if you might've bought them used, thereby not sending any royalties to the artist). I'm all for protecting artists incomes, but some of this doesn't make sense to me. If you were offering downloads I'd understand. If any of this is sensitive or too complicated, no prob. Just curious. Too my mind, getting the stuff heard is a good thing for the artists. I know it's led to purchases on my part.
