Throw yet another spectacular event onto your NEARFest weekend!

Friday, July 9th sees yet another showcase of boundary pushing, as Land of Chocolate, Pinnacle and Pilot Round the Sun take the stage at The Sterling Hotel for an evening of unabashed musical adventure!

Pilot Round the Sun (www.pilotroundthesun.com) is a 4-piece avant rock band featuring elements of Jeff Buckley, Mars Volta, Shudder to Think and Radiohead in an explosive mix of rock, fusion, funk and soul... Featuring former LoC drummer Sam Richardson, this band comes with the highest recommendation - check the following live MP3 for an idea of PRTS's sonic energy and exceptional songwriting skills:

Land of Chocolate continues to defy musical expectations with their latest release "Regaining the Feel"... continuing their blend of melodic progressive rock displayed within "Unikorn on the Cob", LoC has reached new musical heights with the additions of guitarist John Covach (associate Music professor at UNC-Chapel Hill), bassist Gerald Wilson and drummer Wes Hare... fans of multi-part vocal harmonies in the vein of Gentle Giant, King's X, and Echolyn would do well to check out the title track of LoC's new album "Regaining the Feel":

Hailing from the Lehigh Valley, Pinnacle closes out the evening in style with their unique brand of progressive rock... Despite employing a simple power trio lineup, their tunes are anything but simplistic, as gathered by their melodic and hypnotic "Unsung Hero"... Karl Eisenhart, Bill Fox and Greg Jones are bound to delight
with angular yet melodic tunes that recall elements of acts as diverse as Spock's Beard, King Crimson, Rush, and The Police:

This show happens to mark Land of Chocolate's CD release
of "Regaining the Feel", and is a perfect opportunity for those who are looking for some quality progressive music entertainment after The Musical Box show (or a replacement event for those who were unable or chose not to land tickets).

With just a $5 admission fee and $1 drafts all night long, The Sterling Hotel is the place to be on Friday night (July 9th)... the fun starts at 9 pm and lasts all the way until closing, so come on out and continue to get in touch with your progressive musical roots all weekend long!

Hope to see you there!
