Jethro Tull - additions

In another thread I volunteered to see what Tull was missing from the playlist. The "next" button wasn't cooperating, but I got an idea from taking a sample.

What I think are present are Stand Up, Benefit, Aqualung, Living In The Past, War Child, Thick, Passion, Too Old, Stormwatch, Heavy Horses, Songs From The Wood, Dot Com, Roots to Branches, A.

If anyone sees another title I missed, please let me know.

If the full CD's are present on the titles added, then we're OK. If certain songs were not added, I may have an issue. Please let me know if some songs were not added.

It appears that "Broadsword and the Beast", "Nightcap", and the 20th Anniversary CD are not on the playlist. They are worthy.

The live CD "A Little Light Music" is also good, but it's live, so take or leave that one. "Catfish Rising" is your call, I like that one, but it's marginal for the Moon.

Any other titles I wouldn't add - This Was, Under Wraps, Rock Island I think are left.

Hoorah!

I have not intentionally left off any Jethro Tull songs. If someone finds something missing off an album that's on AM, let me know.

We also have Rock Island on AM Rick. I agree that's a weaker effort, but it's OK, and I owned it so I added it.

Nightcap I'm ashamed to say I'm not familiar with. 20th Anniversary I thought was a compilation - no? Broadsword would definitely be the next Tull I would add to the station

Hey Rock Island won the best heavy metal grammy so why not?

Broadsword, very nice. Catfish Rising would also be nice.

The 20th Century is a mix of unreleased, alternate versions, live, and repeated songs. There are about 20 unreleased songs, all very good, some I don't know how they were left off the records. Disc 1 and 2 contain these tracks. The third disc is mostly repeats, but some versions are alternate. If you can get the first two discs w/o the third, it's worth it. Some of the tunes like "Jack Frost and the Hooded Crow" and "Down at the End Of Your Road" are better than a lot of their studio cuts. And most of the unreleased stuff came from the Vetesse period, so there is a lot of nice keyboard work. There's also about 11 minutes of the "Chateau D'Isaster Tapes", which are demos from Passion Play. They rock, a lot more than the finished product!

Nightcap is 2 cd's, with all unreleased. These tunes are some from the mid 70's, a few more Jobson/Vetesse period, and quite a few late 80's. It's really solid. The first disc is the complete unreleased tunes from the Chateau tapes, all really great (contains the 11 minute portion + a bunch of other tunes). Disc are the other cuts.

Wasn't that "Crest of a Knave" that beat Metallica into second place in the grammy?

As Ian would say on "Bursting Out", I should be lashed severly across the bum for that error!

I'd be happy enough to cut your finger nails off and smoke them.

I dropped on my head when I was very young.
