The Tangent in Mechernich, Germany

So finally not all the family went to Mechernich. Mrs Lotus decided to stay home because she was afraid of the high volume, which she does not support.

Daughter and son of Lotus and myself arrived at Burg Satzvey with plenty of time. This is a location aprox 50 km SW of Cologne and the castle was built in the 15th century.

The place were the concert was going to take place was a little, not very high hall, decorated with real burning candles.

Unfortunatelly only 70 people aprox. attended. It was a benificiary concert, in which Tangent played for free and the entrance money is donated to Medics sanse frontiere (I hope I write it right). Travis and Manning were not present, but they announced that way before on their homepage.

They begun 45 minutes late and during the first two songs they sounded quite bad. It seemed, that they had to warm up, because beginning with the third one it improved like hell. After that it seemed to me like a firework, because one highlight followed the other.

They finished with an Adaptation of Leonard Bernsteins America, which really was impressive.

As conclusion I have to say that for us three it was a memorable evening, which we will not forget so soon.

PS: For me personnally it will be very interesting to see, if the taste of daughter of Lotus changes a little into Prog as she really enjoyed the concert.
