Musical Box in Hamburg on March 6th

Rogor and I met in Hamburg to see Musical Box performing the Lamb.

The place was the CCH, an auditorium with assigned seats, not too big (aprox place for 1.000 pll), and it was not totally full. I guess we saw exactly the same program as all who posted before. Unfortunatelly the microphone settings of the singer were not the best, and he somehow disappeared a little in a little the setting with the exception of the last 2 songs, although his performance was excellent.

The show was great, music perfect, performance of all musicians superb!

But!!!:

What I missed is the "live act". As I said before, I think it was exactly the same show as all of you which saw the show. There was not a tone differing from the "Original", and you felt, that nobody of the guys wanted to go away from the "Original". What I felt was, that the guys did not really have fun, they were just following note by note what they learned. (Rogor might be of totally opposite oppinion than me).

Writing this I am listening to a new CD I just bought (Ray Wilson Live), whom's gig I saw 4 month ago. There Ray does his own interpretations of Genesis etc., and this is just much more vivid, original and homest.

For myself I made the decision, that I will not attend any more cover bands, as they just try to copy 100% of the original, leaving behind their own originality...

Nevertheless, it was a good show and we enjoyed it.
