I'm planning on seeing Sonic Youth at the downtown House of Blues on Wednesday. If you don't know them, they are NOT a prog band, but they do have a fair amount of guitar skill and use a lot of textures and tones that prog fans may like. They have almost a punk feel to them, so if you're taste extends into that area, look here for a review later in the week..

I love Sonic Youth! Their avant garde textures, musicial tonality, and out of the ordinary sound should appeal to most prog fans. They just seem to get better with each passing year.....
