Staring into Aural Moon

I assume we're not all staring into the Aural Moon home page
all the time, (although I often find myself inexplicably doing
that) so what is it you do while listening. Surf, work on something
at or away from computer? What do you do during the
endless hours of listening to this great music. endlessly curious.

Re: Staring into Aural Moon

Depends what's going on. If there's a lot of activity in the shoutbox I'll stick around and Faff otherwise I'll work on some research for London walks or read a book or surf the net looking for sites that will help my research or be of interest to fellow Faffers.

It's a big ol' world out there. Tons of things to find and learn about.

Re: Staring into Aural Moon

Since I work for a public utility, staring at and listening to the Moon during work hours is a tricky deal which involves switching screens constantly and generally getting uptight. This defeats the whole purpose of faff and the listening experience, so I rarely get on the Moon during work hours. I do sneak on from time to time, though.

At home, when I manage to get the puter, I tend to devote my presence entirely to the Moon and don't search or do anything else during the time I'm on. I specifically get on to chat with moonie friends and get caught up with the forums.

Being able to listen at work and interject occasionally in the box is something I'm going to request should I EVER get promoted to big wig, which I wouldn't really want, so it's probably never going to happen.

Re: Staring into Aural Moon

If I'm at home listening, it depends on my mood I guess, and what's playing, sometimes I'll try to play along with/figure out a tune, if fellow Lunatics are about in chat then I'll faff. At work I generally listen whilst wurking, but will faff intermittently when the chance arises .

Re: Staring into Aural Moon

I too spend a lot of time in front of 3 or 4 computer screens in several different labs or at my desk. I try to stay active in the shout box. I always read the news and concert info. Occasionally I have to attend to my instruments and/or process data.

But when I can I focus on interacting with all the Moonies at AM via the shout box. I rarely, I think only once, have gotten into the chat box.

Of course, I try to have the tunes playing via iTunes whichever lab I am in!!

Thanks for asking!!

Ted

Ted that is great! Chris' largeness is only exceeded by his largeness of his heart (I'm going to die for that comment ).

Anyway, I'll see him next month but say hi for me!

Keithie lives in the subway....at least he sleeps there.

Not that far Ted....about 25 minutes in a £20 cab.

As Rick says, unless I'm meeting someone (usually late having been standing 40 feet away from them for a half hour or so ) I'm normally asleep in the subway.

Man I'm drunk tonight. I'll try and edit this later.
