Show 135 - Nearfest 2005 DVD

Airing Sunday June 24 from 8-11 PM EST and Monday June 25 from 1-4 PM EST.

This week is a special special. I've played a few cuts from DVD's on a show a few months back, but this is the first show dedicated entirely to DVD music. We will hear the audio from "Nearfest 2005 - Rising To The Surface". This was released this year, and is simply great. If you buy the DVD, you'll even get to see 15 seconds of me...on second thought just buy the DVD anyway.

The music will be played in the same order as the DVD. The only omission will be Present's 23-minute "Promenade au Fond d'un Canal", due to time considerations. The show will of course coincide with Nearfest 2007 this weekend in Bethlehem, PA.

A couple of notes:

Songs two and three from Frogg Cafe were also played here not too long ago - they also appear on their latest CD "The Safenzee Diaries".

Kenso may have been my favorite act of all nine festivals.

Posting this early, as I will be pressed for time this week. I'll miss the Sunday play but hope to catch you all on Monday in between laundry!

I want to say DVD shrink or something like that, but I'll check later. Won't be home for many hours

I had to ask the friend who alerted me...

DVD Audio Extractor. Used the trial version, it will probably expire soon. I'm going to purchase it (about 30 bucks) when I get a new computer in a month or two....
