YES/ASIA in Pittsburgh..magic is gone

That's right folks....the Magic is gone..is it because there was nothing new? is it because there was no Jon??? Well, whatever it is, the magics gone..
I just wanna say one thing about todays Concert goers.....WTF??? DOES ANYBODY GO TO CONCERTS TO "LISTEN" ANYMORE??? People all around
me kept TALKING (MORE like YELLING) over the Music.... I might be showing my age, but I remember when people would go to concerts to "hear" the music and watch the musicians and take in the show....NOW its a social event with no respect for the musicians or the music..... Sorry to rant and rave about this but WHAT HAPPENED to people???

Well, aside from the people......ASIA came on first....everyone still trying to find their seats...so alot of obstruction in front of me but they sounded good, ASIA that is...a little shaky on the first couple of songs but then they pulled it together and sounded better than ever....I actually like watching ASIA more than pseudo YES and the jam in Fanfare for the Common Man was worth the price of the ticket.....steve jamming with geoff and Carls drumming it was great and I was pleasantly surprised to hear how good Wetton's voice sounded after all these years and they did play a number from the newest Cd which I think is really their best......

NOW for YES......PLEASE get Chris some pants...another WTF moment....come on man!!!! WTF?...Howe was still great, have to give him alot of credit pulling double duty....hes one of the greatest guitarist of our time and always will be....
First of all, I seen this same YES show in Cleveland last winter...looks like the only thing they dropped from the set was the "Aliens" song...the new song Chris wrote I think... Sooooo there was NOTHING NEW and there was NO MAGIC....I have been going to YES shows since Close to Edge days and it has always been one of the most magical of all music acts, along with Genesis in the Peter Gabriel days but thats a whole nother show Ophra..... ANYWAY, Looks like this line up of YES is going to record an album...and I guess thats fine but believe me....this is not YES....they should really call themselves "Maybe", cause they're not YES, but they're not NO either sooo.... I think MAYBE would be a good name for this line up....if Howe were to leave...I think they would have to be called NO..........Oh and Oliver....he plays very nice....so what...How bout give the kid a spot....Chris said these are the new band members and yet Oliver just went thru the motions....Let him get involved.....and Benoit David, welp...yeah...he can sound like Jon....but again...so what.....WE WANT JON! Oh well.. I guess the magic days are over....thats why I like going to NEARfest and ROSfest and 3RP because there is still some magic there and the concert goers are there to watch and LISTEN....NOTHING gets me more pissed off than people trying to talk over the music at a concert.....heres a bright Idea ... SHUT UP and LISTEN..... OK Welp, that was my take of the YES/ASIA concert in Pittsburgh....it was ok, but no magic....
