Eastern time for program 819, as we feature a rebroadcast of our exclusive interview with guitarist Steve Howe from 817. This is for listeners who did not get to hear it through Aural Moon.
This was his first FM radio appearance in New Jersey for many years. Steve joins us to discuss his new project Steve Howe's Remedy and the new disc titled Elements. Steve has been wowing fans for over 30 years on guitar, and has been featured as best guitarist for many years in several publications. Howe is noted for his work as a member of Yes, Asia and GTR, but he's also a solo artist. Last year we featured Steve's CD titled Skyline which showcased Steve in a soundscape, ambient platform which will chart in our top 100 most popular progressive rock discs of 2003. Don't miss this special program featuring Steve Howe, one of the forefathers of progressive rock music.
We'll be featuring brand new music from Swedish band Galleon and the double CD From Land To Ocean..we'll also be spotlighting recent music from Nathan Mahl and the Shadows Unbound CD...spotlights tonight on Jean-Luc Ponty as he performs in Collingswood, NJ on Sunday night, and Rick Wakeman as he makes his way to the Tower Theater on Wednesday Night. We will focus on music released on their anniversary from Van Der Graaf Generator and the Pawn Hearts album from 1971, and Godbluff from 1975. Music from Jeff Beck and the Guitar Shop album from 1989...Cuneiform records band Curlew and their early 90's releases Bee and the collaborative work with Amy Denio titled A Beautiful Western Saddle...into the vaults with music from National Health and the Missing Pieces album from 1996...and French Space-Fusion band Carpe Diem and the Cueille Le Jour album from 1976 and other surprises..stay tuned!
