Musical influences......just curious

I enjoy reading all of these. I guess I'm trying to determine roots vs. present favorites. I hear SO many stlyes of Prog here, some I like and some that's still TOO weird for me. I can usually find something in all music I hear.....I guess this goes back to the recent "thread" about What's liked best in prog. Thanks for the responses, again, I enjoy satisfying curiosity........AND....I'm not a cat.
