Nik Turner's Space Ritual at the 100 Club, London.

Standing on the runway waiting to take off....................

It's the morning after and my head is pounding. No, moonbuds, not alcohol abuse but Sonic Attack from this AMAZING band.

Nik and the ex Hawks played for 2 1/2 hours and the bombardment was endless. Tracks played included Reefer Madness, D-Rider, Master of the Universe and Brainstorm. They also played a song in tribute to the late, great Barney Bubbles. Great guy...much missed.

Mick Slattery's guitar work was fantastic and Thomas "Iron Man" Crimble kept a keys/organ sound over the whole aural collage. If they ever play in your neck of the woods GO SEE THEM. You won't be disappointed I promise.

The fabulous Miss Angel danced her pretty little hide off too and much Kudos should go to her for making such amazing moves on such a tiny stage.

Space Rock at it's very best. I lost a few pounds in weight too as it was like a Sauna down there in the basement and the air con was broken. Still who cares? There were a lot of old Hawks fans there who had a ball. Some guys I recognised from 1972!!!!! We can still out mosh some of these youngsters....LOL!!!

Good times.
