Non-prog vocalists

Here's a random thought that might be fun: Which non-prog vocalists would or could have made a good/great prog vocalist? No rules since this is for fun, but I don't think Freddie Mercury counts since Queen's first two albums are pretty prog, for instance. I'll start with Roland Orzabl from Tears For Fears - he has such a rich voice, and TFF has some complex-ish music; top that!
