Jim - no, not a thread killer. Just haven't been tuned into it. Maybe Keith can crack it.

Avian - I wrote an article about 5 years ago that was put in a small-time progressive magazine, and then wrote another one that didn't make it (since the mag folded). It contains all kinds of silly combinations of musicians and musical styles, based on a parallel musical universe predicated on, oddly enough, the very same HELP matching you referenced (only if Hendrix did join)!

Question: it is quite long - should I just post it on this thread (is there a limit? I think the forum members would get a hell of a kick out of it. If OK, I'll write it up later this evening. You won't be disappointed!
