the first one is killing me - I know I should know it, but I keep thinking of William Blake (lyrical origination of Jerusalem) - all those English authors named Bill sound alike to me (tongue firmly planted in cheek)

4)i] duh! Pink Floyd - Nick Mason, Rick Wright, Syd Barret and Roger Waters
ii]still not getting it

You're definitely getting there progdirbill

1) Who links William Shakespeare with Peter Banks and Keith Emerson.

4) What are the bands whose members initials were:
ii] GM, GC, DM, JR, DM

Clues:

1) American not associated with Rock but one of the (in my opinion) greatest composers/pianists/conductors of the 20th Century.

4) ii] Took their name from the same place as Fish's band.

4ii is MINE

The answer is Iluvatar. What's very interesting is that you chose the "Children" lineup, which in terms of time spent together, was their least.

Could (1) be Aaron Copeland?

If I'm right, I will have a question(s) to make you heads spin!

Yes and No!!!!

Iluvatar is Right. Copeland is wrong.........I see where you're coming from though.

A couple more clues.

"Could it be, Yes it could" - Gotta go, Something's Coming.
"Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Daaaaaaaa" - Hey, that's a Nice tune.

Leonard Whiting and Olivia Hussey.
747s and Great Whites.

Looking forward to you getting this so you can post your head spinner!!!

Can't put in the thought

have to pass on this one for awhile - if someone gets it, more power to them.

I see where the Nice is in England for some October shows!

Mel Collins

is like Simon Phillips - he's the Michael Caine or the Robert Duvall of music! You could link 'em all!

I tried Roy Bittan to Bowie to Tin Machine, but ran out of steps. I thought those Sales boys would have played with Zappa at some point.

Yes, very addictive - however, when I get a full-time job again, my posting shall be severely curtailed (which should make some people very happy!)

I'm going to try one tonight. It may have something to do with animals (not bestiality) or numbers, etc.

Keith, I'm on the East coast of the US - what are you, 5 hours different?

Animal magic

The answers to the following ten questions relate to the animal kingdom. Although all artists that perform the songs are on AM, not all of the answers are.

For example - A animal saying "tusk, tusk"? would be "Elephant Talk".

No other clues unless it gets really "hairy".

Name the song (1 point) and the band/artist (1 point). Total possible = 20 points. Let's see who gets the most!

1) Meow mix?
2) Canines twice around the Sun?
3) Completely going squeak before morning?
4) A hard to spot female?
5) William Shatner in the "Twilight Zone", looks out the window, and sees - a swine?
6) Pussy hiding out in Lewis's partner's hiking boots?
7) Two 500-pounders, out of the "gait"?
8) A horny beast, yet without friends?
9) A dark feline walking?
10) A mammal belonging to a deity?

Have fun! I'll add up who's in front as we go.
