Re: Gagliarchives

There's nothing in Gags that we can't hear elsewhere or read elsewhere.

It's not that you commented about the negativity, that's your opinion and is just as valid as anybody else's. It's that you disparaged others opinions/votes by sniffing who voted how and commenting on it.

Very bad form IMO.

I'm very sorry if you don't like or value my feedback, or others. But I'm not known for hiding what I feel, I just try to do it in a non-confrontational manner (usually). And this is a family, with leaders & followers, all of our faults & foibles, and our gifts as well.

That being said, I'm taking a 24 hr chill pill on this issue, and hope others do as well.

Re: Gagliarchives

I wasn't sure if the Admins could see WHO voted, or if they could only see THAT a vote had been cast, and the system would take care of double votes, etc. I will admit to naivity, if that is the benchmark.

The issue of naivity regarding computer polling feels like a deflection for the more important ethical issue, though, which is the one Goo has outlined above.

The polls were a good idea, but needed to be left alone. The only "tainting" done was to publically disparage the voting, and those who voted, on this particular show.

I don't think this is worth pulling the plug on though, is it?

You can name me as one of the people who voted negatively with gags, vax. It's just my opinion, as you have yours. I don't think I gave it the "horrible" vote though. In any case, what does it matter...

This is one of the reasons that I was pushing for Request free Wednesdays. With people filling the queue, sometimes upwards of 20 or more songs that average probably close to 10-15 minutes each. That can (and often does) mean that the requests will play uninterrupted for 5 hours before Sam can even think about putting something new in.

Just a pre-slumber brain dump.

Re: Gagliarchives

When I first started listening to AM, the Gagliarchives almost always had audible pops in the re-transmission. I think that this was due to recording the show using reusable recording devices, but this is just what I thought the reason was.
However, now that the Gagliarchives has returned, the rendition is popless.
So as long as this is the case I donīt have any problems...
Also I know that we, the regular AM listeners have not a say in the decision making, but it sure is nice to be consulted...

Well, keep progging
