update

I was visiting my mother on her last day at the Hospital a few hours ago...she's going to a rehab facility for a few weeks...and doing great (as you can be). She's a tough broad

I went downstairs to see where Rob was, they said 7th floor....I walked right up to the room (anyone can get in!)..

He was three doors down from where my mother was (until Sunday). Same doctor did the surgery, same issue (brain aneurysm)...and they live 25 miles apart!

His wife was sleeping in the adjacent chair, and I was going to leave and she woke up...then Rob did for a few minutes. We talked a bit...I told him of everyone's wishes - he's still a bit groggy and I think I freaked him out by showing up. I also didn't expect to get down there today but things worked out.

Apparently he had this for a day or two before he saw the doctor - he will be in the ICU for a good while.

Thanks to everyone for the kind words, and I'll drop in with an update...I've had enough of the University of MD Medical Center thank you very much!

Re: Yorksvc - Please wish him well

Rick,

Thanks for the update. Of course, Rob and your mom will be in my thoughts and prayers. I'm glad she is getting better. I sure hope Rob gets to follow her lead and leaves there soon as well.

Best wishes,

Andy

Re: Yorksvc - Please wish him well

I visited him today...maybe a week or two he will be home. It's a slow go....

He was very touched by the notes you have sent!

(By the way, he said "Mailotron knows me" )

Thanks everyone...

Rick

Re: Yorksvc - Please wish him well

Thanks for bringing our notes of hope for Yorksvc(Rob) to him.

I am glad to hear he is getting better so quickly, a good sign indeed.

Again, Thanks Rick. I know this is appreciated by all of Us.

IF you see him again, make sure he knows we all are sending him and his family our best.
