Topography? Continents?

Finisterre has "Asia" and "KBB" has Antartica. Yes has "America".

Am I on to something? And if so, I will try my hardest to come with a good question! A real brain buster!

you got it Rick! I knew that wasn't a hard question, but I thought it might take longer than a minute and a half!

Nice also had America - I had 2 Americas for North and South to complete the 7 continents. Take it away Rick...

Inspired....

by your Focus bass riff, Keith, let's pay homage to some bassists found on the Moon...

I'll give you 13 really bad puns, and all I require is the name of the talented bass dude.

For example, Paul McCartney could be a "left-handed bug".

The clues:

1) Gone "underground" to find his fusion.
2) A working man in a real hurry.
3) Former Fisherman crosses the ocean with a three of his closest friends.
4) Apparently still a bad-ass.
5) Continues unshaven even without "Nealing".
6) A Fish out of water?
7) Showing plenty of "remorse".
8) Oh no, go call Gongzilla.
9) A Swedish king ?
10) Splendidly making a rendezvous.
11) Showing plenty of tension even after an illustrious career.
12) You're a good man live, Charlie Brown!
13) Acted very strangely, once.

Have fun!

Here's most of them (I think)
1. Percy Jones (Jeff Berlin as a hedge)
2. Geddy Lee
3. Peter Trawavas
4. ? Billy Sheehan?
5. Dave Meros
6. Chris Squire
7. Jerry Peek or Andy West
8. Hansford Rowe
9. Jonas Reingold
10. John Wetton
11. Tony Levin
12. ?
13. Mike Rutherford

I was thinking you might throw a Tull bassist in there, but then which one? I couldn't find him if he's there...

So far

1,2,3,5,6,8,9,11, and 13 are correct - nice job!

I will give you 4 (Jeff Berlin), because you mentioned him as a hedge for 1. In the liner notes on "One of A Kind", Jeff Berlin "apparently still uses Leo Quan (sp?) bad-ass strings".

Looking for Dave LaRue for 7, but the other two will work - not specific enough in my question. Remorse meant he's been with Steve Morse solo and in the Dregs.

10 is wrong, and I'd rather not give a clue right now, except for that he's rarely mentioned when discussing bassists - although he's excellent.

There are two hints I could give on 12 - the first is that this bassist appears on Aural Moon both solo and in a group setting. If you guess correctly but still don't know what the clue means, I'll let you know. If you need another clue, I can do that too.

See if you can 10 and 12 (or if anyone else can) before you take your turn at another question, Jim.

Yeah, I thought of Dave LaRue after I posted. I thought Andy West played on some of Steve's solo work, but now I can't confirm that.

I thought Wetton might be wrong - I was thinking of "Rendezvous 6:02". I do want to try for 10 and 12.

Berlin as a hedge for number 1, I was thinking of "The Basement Tapes" with Bruford.

Let me throw out Jaco Pastorius as a guess for 12 - and I'll need the explanation!

Don't have enough of Steve Morse's solo work (and he's my favorite guitarist!), but I think you're right about Andy West.

good hedge on #1 - didn't think of that!

Wetton good guess on 6:02. But, Splendidly is a clue, too...

On 12, this bassist plays the Charlie Brown theme as part of his live solos.

almost there!

Stu Hamm is indeed correct for #12. Anyone ever having the pleasure of watching him play the rhythm on the left hand and the main theme of the Charlie Brown song on the right is in for a treat.

Ok, #10. You will kick yourselves - In the original clue, I refer to two albums by the artist that this bassist plays on. "Splendidly making a rendezvous". Hmmm....

hari-kiri

You're stabbing yourself!

"Seaside rendezvous" is a song, looking for albums. I fear Jim will get it when he wakes up Keithie....... but I can't give any more hints, it should be obtainable!
