looks like Keith will do it
you've got 4 and I'm not looking at it much today. Very nicely done (why I didn't think of the Next Generation is beyond me). Patrick Stewart's a fine actor, but the idea of an Englishman playing a Frenchman is weird.
Again, good clues and solutions! |

Nice TV, lady! is the hardest; I'm surprised no one's gotten the honest felines... (oh, and to elaborate on the clue for #1, "Pont" is french for bridge...) |

Keith takes it with 5 - only one left is:
Nice TV, lady! Hints: TV stands for television, not transvestite! Nice job, Keith - still battling for that top perv spot! Female artist with one song on Aural Moon. You likely haven't heard of her. |

another fine quiz
I wasn't thinking Frank Katz cause to me he's mostly a drummer - you did say there's one on there, though.
I'm addled about the nice TV thing, what does it refer to? Wish I had more time to think today, it's turning into a long one. OK Keith - CD titles, song titles, artists, or any other whimsy or faff ![]() you may come up with. We the masses are ready! |

You guys know already, but Vanessa Mae is correct. Great job, I thought it might take just a bit longer.
Frank Katz is a midi-vibraphonist - I consider that significantly different than the trap drum set. I can play the trap drums fairly well, but the midi-vibes would present a fair challenge. Take it away, Keithie! |

This is good fun.....
OK. Singers/vocalists. Nine clues so that we don't get a tie. Some are, I think tricky, but knowing you guys there will be no problems.
1) Added Hydrogen by mistake for the third album but still sounded the same. 2) Angel after decrease. 3) Vicious dean comes about fruit. 4) This songbirds got sheep? Sounds like it! 5) Kith and Kin. 6) Moved away to start a different job. 7) Sings like he's just got off a long journey by air. 8) Maybe he should have been Swiss. No! There would be an eruption. 9) Dick and his ZX. Good luck chaps |

Clarifications
a) absolutely no need to cede any rightly won inane and superfluous contests, Jim. That Frank Katz was a great clue and had no bearing on the outcome.
b) again I am confused. The Gabriel reference - my brain must be fried, I don't understand. c) that Hammill was a shot in the dark. I think I'm wrong that it was the 3rd VDGG, anyway! |

Angel = Gabriel, after Peter = decrease
H to He was the first VDGG, I think. could be #2 I've had a disease with members of the extended Brand X lately - Mr. Robinson on your last question eluded me because I thought of Brand X, then I got confused thinking Robin Lumley was the only keyboardist... 6 is Annie Haslam. 7 is Bernardo Lanzetti from PFM - sang on the Jet Lag album. And maybe 8 is Jon Anderson - swiss reference to Moraz, "no" opposite (obviously) of Yes? 9 is Fish. Last edited by progdirjim : 01-21-2004 at 10:44 PM. |
