Elric's totally cool music files !

Hello friends !

As some of you may know, I've been playing music for a few years now (mainly guitars), and I decided to set up a progressive rock project one year and a half ago. The thing that kept me from recording nice tunes is that I lacked gear, effects, loopers, keyboards.

Some months ago, my Dad helped me start the project by buying me a multi effects pedal and a loop station.

Using this, I've been able to write 5 songs. Here is one of them, which I wrote last week. Unfortunately, I don't have a good quality microphone, so the audio quality is not perfect, but this is good enough for a demo.

http://joffrey.quillet.free.fr/dotcl...04version2.mp3

This song was recorded live, in my room in my parents' house. I used a RC-50 looper pedal to record the instruments, then played the guitars and samples and effects live above the loop.

If you like this, tell me and I will send you more.

I'm waiting for your comments. Enjoy !

Re: Elric's totally cool music files !

I just changed my webpage. Here is the link to an article in which you can find the same music file as I posted sooner, PLUS another song (the 1st file on the page), which is not perfect: I have to improve the timing and the transitions between the parts. But I like the parts separately, especially the second one, the quiet part.

http://joffrey.quillet.free.fr/wordp...20/et-de-deux/

Enjoy.

I like it, Elric! I've done some recordings myself, and the expense of getting decent gear has always been an obstacle. Your results are very inspiring. Thanks for that.

quite cool, the second did have a p-tree/floydian sound, hope to hear some of your work played on the Moon in the future; your Dad made a great investment!

Elric, that was very cool. You conjured PT, Oceansize-type stuff
in places, not an easy thing to do on the best equipment.

Looking forward to the next version.

Re: Elric's totally cool music files !

another good one, Elric!

it reminds me a bit of Barkley James Harvest for some reason, perhaps the guitar sound.

Re: Elric's totally cool music files !

I will try to write my next articles, reviews and other stuff in both English and French (as I used to do before) if I find the time to do it.
