Atlanta's tornado (picture)

Attached is an incredible picture of the storm that came through downtown Atlanta last Friday.

In the picture you'll see two or three possible funnels. The 'real' funnel of the storm is on the left hand side. Scarey, huh?

Where was the Wagner when we needed it?

Scarey Dale. I bet I speak for all of us when I say that the news that your wife safely made it to where she was going was good news indeed.

Great picture. I tell ya, I do NOT miss living where tornados are prevelent. I do not miss that fear and trepidation that comes with every supercell storm.

Growing up in Texas, being in the great F4 there that ravaged downtown, living in Oklahoma where F5's happen. Black skies...and hail....

Re: Atlanta's tornado (picture)

Being a rabid Mississippi State fan, I was watching the MSU/Alabama game that was disrupted because the tornado took part of the roof off the Georgia Dome live as it happened. Scared the crap out of me. I was yelling for the MSU players to get off the court when the rafters started swaying. They delayed the game 70 minutes, and played the rest of the tourney at Georgia Tech's arena. Scary stuff.

BTW, State and Oregon tonight! Who let the Dawgs out!?!

Re: Atlanta's tornado (picture)

Cool picture Dale, albeit scary, glad you made it through OK. I flew into ATL on my way to JAX the following day, saw some stuff blown over in southern GA (between Jacksonville and Warner-Robins) during my vacation last week, I guess there was some bad weather down that way as well.
