Arabesque's Guitarist gone

The guitarist from the 70's Pittsburgh based band Arabesque, August Smarra, has succumbed to the complications of cancer, he was 57, way to young. The band has one cd out, Arabesque - Tales of Power, we have the cd here on the moon. The cd was made from Demo tapes that were recorded in the basement of the bass player house but Shrum records cleaned the tapes up and it sounds pretty good now and it has a wonderful cover and cover art.

He was not only the guitarist in the band but he was also my cousin and best friend, we grew up together and we've been musical buddies since childhood. His cd and music collection would rival the moon's and mine. Between the two of us, I think we had every prog/fusion cd you can think of... I will forever miss Skrauger... Tomorrow (thursday) my personal theme will be the music of Arabesque and some of Skraug's favorite music....

Travel well my friend
and may peace be with you..
you will be missed but not forgotten Skraug.
