Rush: Snakes and Arrows
lots of people talk bad about this album, but I like it. Not Rush's best by a longshot, but a solid album nonetheless.

Tubular Bells is one of those albums that I need to listen to at least once a week or so.

The Snow Goose, by Camel, has held my interest since I first got it. It will always hold a special place in my heart as the album that got me into prog.

Gates Of Delirium is currently a track I'm addicted to.

Recently I've found mainstream music in general to be an enormous disappointment. The quality of the music seems inversely proportional to the band's popularity these days. Very sad.

Um, I'm not sure I followed that none none none part, but for the record, they have five albums. Really, it's composer Karl Jenkins' rather than a group.
Yeah, the Soft Machine guy.

Ah, to be experiencing Tales anew...I envy you Lellu. Keep spinning it, it will amaze you more the more you listen! The last few minutes of Ritual shows Steve is capable of simply inhuman guitar work.

Before Tales my only albums by Yes were Fragile and Relayer...
Tales feels quite tranquil when compared to those.

Twelfth Night - Live at the Target. Recorded in 1981. Really good sound.
Threshold - Dead Reckoning. Latest offering from this Metalish band. Saw them recently at SEfest and loved them even though the vocalist is a different guy. Great performance.
Galahad - Empires Never Last. Another SEfest band. Superb songs.
Nick May - Whimwise. Amazing sound. Eastern avant garde feel from this band led by ex Enid guitarist Nick May. Fabulous.
Big Big Train - The Difference Machine. My dear friend Rogor Mortis put me onto this UK band and they have knocked me sideways with this, their latest release. A future classic. You can check out some of their songs at their home page or MyWaste.

I've written to them asking if they want to donate a CD to the station. I'm convinced that when you hear it you'll want to buy it.

Hipgnosis' "sky's the Limit" is good polish prog - I especially like "mantra"
Neal Morse's "?" absolutely blows me away, and "12" gives me chills
Fear of a Blank Planet - the more I listen, the more I like it, I play it at least once a week
Stupid Dream - ok, so I like P Tree! my favorites are Even Less, Smart Kid and Stop Swimming
Cyndee Lee Rule, UFOsmosis, apologies to a fellow moonite, but thumbs down on this one

Re: What CD's Are you Playing RIght Now? Top 5

Riverside - Rapid Eye Movement (Not as strong as the first 2 but definately worth listening)
Anathema - A Natural Disaster (Softer side of this death metal band. I really like their and introspection)
Porcupine Tree - Fear of a Blank Planet (very good CD. I am probably dangerously close to OD on PT though)

Mostly while driving.

Apple Pie - Crossroad

Heard this here on the moon and was hooked. Not taken it out my cd player since putting in last week! This Russian group deserve our support and offer a wide variety of influences in one disc.

An album worth listening, although I definitely prefer some of the earlier works. The fourth song on ND, the emotional "Are You There", is great... the kind of stuff that should also appeal to many females.

Which earlier work are you thinking of Methem? I have Eternity and am thinking of getting judgement or A Fine Day to Exit. They also have a couple of new songs that you can download from their webiste for free. They are really quite good in the same style as "Are You There".

The earlier works are Eternity and the 1998 album Alternative 4.

Judgement is all right. The song "Wings Of God" is probably my favourite on that one. A Fine Day to Exit is an album I was a bit disappointed with, personally, but you might like it.
