Moon O' Poll 2008 (replaces Rickter Scale show 209)

Airing Sunday, January 4 from 8-11 PM EST and Monday, January 5 from 1-4 PM EST

I just remembered to post this here, it's already in its own thread -

No, it's not the strange love child of a lunar body and a mad Irishman - the Moon O' Poll is the annual creation of Wojtek Bieronski. Each year he counts down in a lovely crafted three hour extravaganza the year's top records, as voted on by Aural Moon listeners.

It has already been aired yesterday, and we'll give it two more spins here.

Next week is my usual fare.

On myspace, you can find Wojtek's profile in my top friends...and I have a blog with my picks.

Enjoy the countdown!

Rick,

Thank you SO MUCH for replaying this on both your spots.

You are very nice to do this - and it is MUCH appreciated by those of us who could not catch it all on Saturday.

Do you know if there is a listing of what is played? What about Woj - did he publish a list somewhere?

Thanks again!!

Regards from Texas,
Ted

A list will be published when the final replay airs.

Got to keep the suspense going for those that don't want to know

Ted - I'll publish the results after the last replay.
As for the tracklist...no problem, I can prepare it as well along with results.
So check out Moonopoll forums after Monday.

EDIT: Hah, Keithie one minute faster.

Thanks for working on this yearly project Wojtek and I hope not to miss the show this year! Thanks to Rick for adding the times in GMT, on myspace, it should help me to be prepared for the show tonight.
Wish we podcast the shows!!!
cheers one and all.

Ted - airing the show is a no-brainer, so I'm the best man for the job

Steve - If it's feasible I will consider podcasts. I'm really not sure how it all works, but listening to to the Damon Shulman podcasts with father Phil (Gentle Giant), it may be a good idea. Then I can rebroadcast. I've had 200+ shows and no repeats, although I've repeated plenty of songs. But it does get to be a pain sometimes.

Maybe I can talk to you and Moses and other to see how it may be done.

It would be great Rick, I can then just set up a feed to the shows as they occur. I struggle to listen to your show and really get annoyed because I know I would enjoy them looking at your listing. I subscribe to a few podcasts eg gagliarchives but do not know how to set them up. I have a few lecturers on podcast for my students but our tech guys set it up for me. I just supply the mp3. I have asked Jim a few times and he has said he would discuss with the team. All the shows on podcast would be great and I can listen to them on the move, which is where I have the free time.
