Show 59 - For The Birds!

This show is a direct result of a suggestion by the Teerminator. We decided that Thanksgiving would be a good time to play it.

Iluvatar - Eagle
Finch - Paradoxical Moods
Kate Bush - Night of the Swallow
Niacin - Birdland
Steve Miller Band - Space Intro / Fly Like An Eagle
David Sylvian & Robert Fripp - Jean The Birdman
Focus - Hurkey Turkey
Shadowfax - Ghostbird
(squawk)
Schleigho - Blackbird
Osiris - Bird of Prey
Tangerine Dream - White Eagle
Genesis - Pigeons
Dixie Dregs - Refried Funky Chicken
Jethro Tull - Sparrow On The Schoolyard Wall
(cheep)
Al Dimeola - God Bird Change
Iona - Bird Of Heaven
Birdsongs Of The Mesozoic - Birdhead
Tomas Bodin - The Last Eagle
Frank Zappa - Pigeon In Bondage
Die A Tribe - Ostrich
Sting - Little Wing
(caw)
Renaissance - The Vultures Fly High
Kansas - Icarus:Borne On Wings Of Steel
5uu's/Dave Kernan - Penguins On Dizengoff
Budgie - In The Grip Of A Tyrefitter's Hand
Mahavishnu Orchestra - Birds Of Fire

rick- some kind of miss-communication. It's now 9:33 Sunday night and no show and no r&r. T and I made bird jokes for a while but no Rickter Scale was a disappointment.---------

I just came back from the Hot Tuna concert (was a top 10 show, no exaggeration) and the all the hard work I put in to the show goes for naught. There was NO reason that show should not have loaded. Every time I'm absent this happens.

I am sick and tired of having to make sure the show runs on time. Everything was done correctly. I can't be around for every show.

On the replay I will be here, and I will watch to see if it loads. If it does, that means something or someone monkeyed with the scheduling. If it doesn't load, maybe the scheduler is off. Either way it's a royal pain in the ass.

I'm seriously thinking about not doing the show anymore. It's too labor intensive to have this happen.

Rickster, sorry you feel this way because we Moonies LOVE your show and really appreciate the amount of time and effort you put into making it happen for us every week.

Don't fly off the handle, just remain perched up there in Baltimore and try and cage that anger that's humming in your head. I've heard a lot of your shows (not as many as I would have liked) and not one has been a Turkey. I'd like to do a show myself but I'm too chicken so I've ducked out every time it was suggested.

What I'm saying is think about what you're saying. A lot of people will be very sad to see you stop. OK?

PS. Sorry about the Bird punnery. It was meant to make you smile.

I would think the labor intensive part is putting the show together, not putting it into the queue to play.

I was still around at about 21:00. Had I known, I would have queued up the show.

too bad I missed the show completely. Maybe Rick can do it as a replay in the future when he's out of town.

Re: Show 59 - For The Birds!

Term - I erase the show almost immediately after it plays, but at some point if there's a "caw" for it I can rebuild it. We have the technology.

Roger - you're not a city boy are you?

Sharc - I figured you'd miss it, out there making money on Mondays... next week's is already slotted and a Sharc 20 minute favorite is on the list (you'll find out on wed). Thanks for the nice words sunday pm and in the forum here.
