Question What qualifies to the Aural Moon Library?

Moonoffruits96 suggested that I should donate an album made by my friends to Aural Moon. I started to wonder how does the music get selected here. Im playing on a band too (maybe we will releasen an album somewhere in the future, if we are lucky) and I would like to know how the music is qualified (if at all).

Lellu,

I think the bottom line is that ProgDirJim has to approve it. I have sent CD's to him and if He thinks they will work on Aural Moon they will be uploaded. Now given that... there are other opinions - Most of the Administrators will chime in to suggest something is appropriate or not.

If you are concerned it won't fit... Private Message ProgDirJim and ask for his email address and send him a 30 sec sample of one or two songs... it would give him something to judge by.

But donated music is the mainstay of Aural Moon. Consider it...

Regards from Texas,
Ted

Thank you!

I will take contact to ProgDirJim.

If I only knew whether ProgDirJim is bribable or not...

My guess would be that if it's not played on FM radio that would pretty much guarantee it gets played here.

Jim is very open minded. One thing you can do is look in the library that's online and see what Finnish bands are represented here, and I know there are several. If your composed music is in that vein, you have your answer.

Thumbs up Re: What qualifies to the Aural Moon Library?

Magnificent news!

progdirjim listened to some samples and he waved green flag, meaning that I will send the CD ASAP and you can listen to some Eternal Struggle after a while

The matter I was worried was not the musical style but rather the recording quality... The album can still be deleted from the Aural Moon library, if complaints start appearing. However for your own health's sake, you'd better not complain!

Thanks to progdirjim, this question can now be found in the FAQ too. http://auralmoon.com/index.php?optio...87&Ite mid=65

Re: What qualifies to the Aural Moon Library?

I just sent the CD few hours ago. It should arrive in one week... (Long days ahead I guess)

No it is not, but it still is the right page. Some of my friends play in Eternal Struggle, I don't. Great that you liked it though
