Top 20 bands I listen to.....

Not that anyone cares, but I have KavaSoft software and it counts all songs I listen to on my iTunes and gives me play counts by cd or groups. The top 20 bands in my kavasoft are:

1. Marillion
2. Unitopia
3. Beardfish
4. Steve Hackett
5. Sylvan
6. Alice Cooper
7. Galahad
8. Anathema
9. Phideaux
10. Sigur Ros
11. Dec Burke
12. IOEarth
13. Jonsi
14. Glass Hammer
15. The Black Noodle Project
16. Pink Floyd
17. Touchstone
18. Pallas
19. Spock's Beard
20. Joe Walsh

Of course actually #1 is Aural Moon, but that not a band.

Re: Top 20 bands I listen to.....

Nice List and Interesting topic. Six and a half years ago my cd collection became unmanageable and I decided to enter everything into an excel database. Ever since then I not only record the date of last listen but the number of times I have listened to the cd (since I created the database in 8/2007). So it is easy for me to compile a list of the groups I've listened to the most over that time period (in terms of number of cds I listened to from my collection). Of course, this doesn't include listening to sources other than my collection. So here is the list:

1 Porcupine Tree
2 Rush
3 Jethro Tull
4 King Crimson
5 Yes
6 Marillion
7 Genesis
8 Frank Zappa
9 Black Sabbath
10 Pink Floyd
11 Transatlantic
12 Deep Purple
13 Dream Theater
14 SBB
15 Neil Young
16 Miles Davis
17 The Flower Kings
18 Judas Priest
19 Mostly Autumn
20 Riverside

This is naturally skewed to groups that I have the most cds from. I have made a concerted effort to listen to every cd in my collection and capture the vital statistics as well as rate each cd. Anyway, it was fun putting together.
