Show Programming

I am sorry to say, but I am very unhappy with the airing and replay times of Dale's and Fish's shows.

Please note that the European time in the following is Eastern -6

Dale's original show in on (European time) at 6 pm to 8 pm, and Fish's (replay) is from 7 to 9 pm. The replays of the original of these shows are just in the middle of the night for me. Both shows are great and I really do not want to miss them! I am listening to the Moon (when I am not travelling) from 8 am to 6 pm (European) and maybe from 10 pm to 12 pm (European time).

So you see (hopefully) that these shows are not in the time I can listen to the Moon (I have a private life too..)

My suggestion to Jim to make a 3rd replay of the shows in times where we (one of the few Euromoonies) can hear to it on office time (like 80% of you AmeriMoonies do). His answer was that he does not like it and Jim asked me to open a thread on it.

There it is!

Please ALL tell me your opinion!!

Do you care or bother if these 2 shows are replayed a 3rd time at times like 3 am Eastern

Please let us your comments.

Thanks to all..specially to Jim running this place..My life would have been different (and I mean worse) without the Moon

Re: Show Programming

Why not have the second replay of both shows in a time when the Euro moonies can hear it, rather than have a third replay. Or am I missing something.

Re: Show Programming

the goal for the replays has always been to facilitate the worldwide audience of Aural Moon, especially Europe. Please, ALL Europeans, chime in with what times are best. We aim to please... (Yes Mossy, you are spot on.)

Re: Show Programming

I can only say that I'm totally agreed with Lotus. I really like to hear the shows on AM but they are always late for European Moonies.
Once I heard the beginning of the show ... but after half an hour I couldn't listen because of private life in the evening.

Please : replay when US people can't listen ! Well, when I might think they sleep .....

Greetings,

ErikM

Danger, what I can see during that time (6 to 12 am European time) there are around 80 to 120 listeners and 10 to max 20 members on line, most of the lurking or just logged in as the did not close down the browser with the Moon...

Again, please all Euro- or AmeriMooniespost here your opinion about having a "EuroMooniefriendly" replay of these 2 shows....

Re: Show Programming

I have absolutely no problem with the shows being replayed at peak euro or asian hours.

But I think y'all need to get your priorities straight. Family over Aural Moon?!?! Oh, come on.

All kidding aside, what I'd like to see is someone from the mother country(ies) produce a show. Europe and Asia need to be represented more. And I also think they should be broadcast in their native language. This is a world wide broadcast, after all.

Cheers

Re: Show Programming

I listen from 8pm until 1am (UK time) whenever I can. Like lotus says it would be nice to get a replay during that time, or maybe a podcast facility like the european perspective.

Re: Show Programming

It would not bother me at all if COTM or NMOM (or Gags show) played during the off hours in North America, and prime time in Europe. My vote, if I had one, would go for a third broadcast. Aural Moon has listeners world wide and they should not be discouraged.
What are the arguments against it, if any?

Both replays are during that time frame, Mailo. I would like a third replay in the European morning (from 9 am to 12 am (CET))

Re: Show Programming

This is easily solved. Everyone use the time zone. (GMT-5) :P

Re: Show Programming

You can't make everybody happy all the time, That is for shure. But I don't see why the Euro Guys can't have these shows aired in the middle of our night. Hell, Most of us are sleeping or in bed at least. Give it to them. I hate to see grown men cry. lol

Solution is so easy: Make a 3rd replay on working days (select for each show one day between Monday to Friday) from 3 to 5 am Aural Moon Time!

Even our Japanese Friends will be thankful!

I was just writing another novel with arguments, but I just deleted it. It seems that together with Erik, Mailo and SonicVista, I am the only EuroMoonie really interested in the issue. So do whatever you want, it was just a egoistic proposal with the side effect to make AM even more popular in Europe!

(Last post on that issue from here!)
