Double the effort. I sent notice to Magic Pie, TinyFish, Marillion and Carptree.

LOL... Triple the effort (Magic Pie). It is big fun for me to send notices as a poll host so please let's not triple that.

I personally know Marillion and Jim Sanders of Tinyfish. I also had magic Pie in my hotel room at ROSfest enjoying pints from my Guinness keg, so it was nice to touch base with them and say 'Hello' too.

Re: Moon O'Poll 2007 Results

Of course I have nothing against personal conversations but you wrote about notices. In case of notices I have to say this is integral part of the poll organisation by the poll host. Of course satisfaction and enjoying fun the Moonies have is no.1 reason I've been doing this. Yet sending the results and getting feedback from artists/sites is very rewarding as well (after 20 hours of mostly arduous work like audio editing or compiling album list). I have not sent the notices to everyone so this time I'd say "yes" to you sending the results to for example Marillion. But to avoid silly looking situations in which the given band is bombarded with a few notices of top20 in top2007 poll within one day, I'd like to say that as a poll host it is my duty to send the notifications.

No jazzy crap = no good.

Seriously, it's not a bad list, if not a bit predictable. Though I would have liked to see a wider variation of styles represented.

Re: Moon O'Poll 2007 Results

1 Big Big Train - The Difference Machine
2 D'arcana - Premonitions
3 Azureth - The Promethean Syndrome
4 Jack Foster III - Tame Until Hungry
5 The Tangent - Going Off On One
6 Guy Manning - Songs From The Bilston House
7 Riverside - Rapid Eye Movement
8 Third Ending - Third Ending
9 Satellite - Into The Night
10 Galahad - Empires Never Last

As bob say...better luck next year. Really amazed that D'arcana and Azureth didn't poll more votes.
