Ray Wilson in Unna on Nov 8, 2013

The gig was to begin at 8:00 As there was no seating, we arrived early at 7:15 in order to get a good place where even Doris could see well. At 7:25 Ali Ferguson and the Mcmillan Brothers came on stage and performed some tunes from Ali's newest album: a mixture of Sigur Ros and Radiohead..Not bad at all. At 8:15 they left the stage and 10 min later the mass of musician entered the stage and begun their (main part). They played without any pause until 10:00. The encore lasted another 15 min..So we had nearly 3h30 min of finest music. You can see a aprox. setlist (I copied of another gig and adjusted it to today’s gig according to my memory..)

The music was a wonderful mixture of old and new Genesis, Ray Wilson Band and Stiltskin. The 2 girls on Violin were not only very pretty, they were hell of good.. I am a guilty Ray Wilson fan. I think it was the 8th gig I attended (first was in 2004) in the most different configurations (3 man acoustic, Stiltskin etc etc). This was the most remarkable one as the sound from these 9 artists of extra-class was overwhelming. Barbaras violin solo (only accompanied by piano) of Entrangled was just not of this world, so good. This only to mention one of the many, many highlights.

We enjoyed the venue really a lot. Next time Ray is around I will for sure be there again. It is always worth!!
