Ten Point Ten

www.tenpointten.com

All I have is their Christmas cd, 12 25. I guess they have 3 or 4 other cds too. If they're half as good as 12 25, they definitely should be on the moon. I've never heard Christmas prog quite like this!

very interesting

when I get some time in the next millenium, I will check this out.

Seriously, I've written down the site and will try to check it out soon. It does look neat....

Now I want to hear Gary Hoey's Carol of the Bells!

oops

It looks like my post here was perhaps misleading. I didn't mean that, sorry.

Ten Point Ten has one Christmas cd, and 3 or 4 other cds. The only one I have is the Christmas one, but I'm looking to pick up some more as soon as funds permit.

But the "current radio single" that they have on the site from 12 25 is "Gentle King," which is not their proggiest work. It's kinda like if the only song you heard from Spock's Beard was "June." You don't really get the impression that they're a prog band from it.

A better starting point might be http://www.tenpointten.com/v4/html/stage.cgi?id=32 and click the "Complete Song LIbrary" link.

no, we're just tangental

I did see the other stuff, and will be looking at it. Your explanation was just fine.

Great analogy to "June". "Current radio single" should be a warning to everyone!

Ten Point Ten is headed by two guys I used to work with - Scott Gilbert and Bill Hubauer. We all used to work in a Macintosh software company that Scott headed. Both are great guys, and talented musicians. It was only later after Scott hired me did I realize that we were all huge prog fans.

Long before this band, Bill and another old friend of mine were in one of the best tribute bands I've seen besides TMB - a Kansas tribute band called Leftoverture. Just killer. Maybe Moses has seen them back in the day... They've also been in other Christian rock bands, most notabley an 80s band called Ten Till Destiny, who were regional favorites for some time.

Anyway, say hi if you run into them. It's been awhile!
