Yes.....no clue

Here's the songs that the local ampitheatre is using to attract ticket buyers...

"Lift Me Up," "Rhythm of Love," "Love Will Find A Way," and "Owner of
a Lonely Heart."

Any two of these is sure to cause a revolt!

Re: Yes.....no clue

I Was telling my wife the other day. Saying that alot of people don't like Yes but what I meant was that they don't appriciate them so this to me is revolting Rick Not that some of the work mentioned is not good but to commericalize on it makes the point even more true.

I grew up with Yes in the 80's and maybe because of that I don't have a problem with those songs. However, I will be the first to admit they are not really representative of what Yes means to most of their fans and certainly do not represent classic Yes.

Re: Yes.....no clue

Possibly could be another money grubbing scheme from Yes, "The Worst of Yes 1 " cd is being released soon.

Re: Yes.....no clue

It really is very sad when a rock band commercial sounds like a monster truck rally commercial, I have heard such commercials for YES, RUSH, GENESIS and yes even The Grateful Dead. Kind of sad really, when you consider what kind of audiences that attracted to these shows, Last YES show I went to had that type of advertising, the audience was a bunch of folks who had no idea why they were there. And by the way which way to the monster truck exhibit!

Re: Yes.....no clue

Here in Toronto, the radiio ads mostly play Owner of A Lonely Heart with some Roundabout.

I see in the newspaper ads for it, the tour is called "Yes: Close To The Edge and Back"

Re: Yes.....no clue

Doesn't even seem to make commercial sense. The average person (over 35) who is not a Yes fanatic, would recognize All Good People or Long Distance Runaround more than any of those songs.

Re: Yes.....no clue

for the songs used in the commercial I don't say YES - I say NO! - Closer to the Edge - now that's YES.
