Re: RIP David Bowie

I heard a rumor from Ground Control. Oh, no. Don't say it's true.

Re: RIP David Bowie

I've never owned much by him and never saw him live but I've always enjoyed pretty much everything I've heard by him. Like Frank Zappa, he had ties to progressive music without always necessarily being labelled as prog. I remember one time some guy asked me what kind of music I liked and when I said "progressive rock" he said "is that like David Bowie?" Well, not quite but I humored him and told him DB had a prog period which is true. He did work with Robert Fripp and Adrian Belew after all. Regardless of labels DB transcended them. Believe it or not my grandmother was a fan too. Anyway, he will be missed. RIP David Bowie.
